In the fall of 2012, Brad LaRocque earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science. Brad was a NCAA Division 1 collegiate athlete in Track and Cross-country distance running. Brad was a multi time Division 1 conference athlete at Eastern Illinois University as a distance and endurance runner. Among his accomplishments was a career best 8k time of 24:44 and winning the Charleston Half Marathon in 1:09:00. Brad was part of 3 collegiate conference championships and a 4 time collegiate sport MVP. Recipient of the Eastern Illinois University LAIR award voted on by professors, administrators and coaches. The award signified the commitment to Leadership, Achievement, integrity and responsibility at the university.
Brad LaRocque has been involved in the “Raise the Bar” autism fitness program at Right Fit. He has trained children on the autism spectrum for improvement of strength, coordination and motor development. Brad has trained seniors as part of the “Sensible Fitness” program at Right Fit, enabling seniors to live a more active lifestyle through mobility, flexibility and strength training. Brad is a site trainer for the “Proactive Kids” program which helps children with weight issues experience fitness and reach health goals.
Brads commitment to endurance fitness and distance training has made him specialize in core strength, running stability, and efficiency as well as developing distance running programs from 5k to marathon.
